Description

JOYBirth Education Programme.

The Award-Winning JOYBirth Hypnobirthing Teacher Training is now an exclusive, 11-module programme designed to transform you into a confident, highly skilled practitioner.

We go far beyond traditional hypnobirthing certification. Your training begins with the essential foundations of clinical hypnotherapy, covering the first four modules of The Northern College of Clinical Hypnotherapy syllabus.

This robust clinical grounding equips you with a professional and ethical framework to work effectively with a vast range of client needs.

The course is structured to teach you how to deliver a complete Joy Birth programme, providing clients with simple, powerful tools for a calm, confident, and beautiful birthing experience. You will learn how to:

  • Teach self-hypnosis, relaxation, and breathing techniques.

  • Help clients release fear and anxiety to break the Fear-Tension-Pain cycle.

  • Work with clients in both one-on-one and group settings.

  • Work with natural fertility, wellbeing though pregnancy and post-natal hypnotherapy

  • Support parents through grief, loss and difficulties including miscarriage and birth trauma.

  • Set up your own practice and support people on the journey from conception through pregnancy and into the 4th trimester.

At the NCCH we recognise that the journey to parenthood is not a 9-month event, but a continuous transformation beginning at conception and culminating in the essential Fourth Trimester. To provide truly comprehensive and empathetic care, our approach supports women through this entire cycle.

We committed to train you so that your service prioritises not just a healthy baby, but a healthy, recovered, and well-supported mother/birthing parent.

The Four Stages of Transformation

Stage

Focus & Challenge

Goal of Our Hypnotherapy-Aligned Support

Natural Fertility & 1st Trimester

Foundation & Alignment: Navigating intense physical and emotional shifts; establishing a positive mindset about pregnancy.

Deep Affirmation & Anchoring: Utilising visualisation and deep relaxation to anchor feelings of well-being, reduce nausea, and build confidence in the body's wisdom.

2nd Trimester

Growth & Connection: Integrating the growing life; shifting identity toward "Mother" through a calm, centred presence.

Conscious Connection & Self-Hypnosis: Teaching self-hypnosis techniques to deepen the bond with the baby, visualise optimal growth, and reinforce positive self-talk and identity integration.

3rd Trimester

Preparation & Power: Managing physical discomfort; replacing fear of labour with confident expectation and calm readiness.

Empowered Birth Visualisation: Intensive training in hypnotic birthing techniques, including pain-management strategies through breath, focus, and deep physical relaxation, creating a positive neural pathway for the birth.

4th Trimester

Recovery & Integration (0-3 Months Postpartum): Healing the body, managing sleep deprivation, and preventing anxiety through emotional resilience.

Resilience & Restoration Hypnosis: Providing specialised support, audios and techniques focused on rest consolidation, rapid physical healing visualisation, emotional regulation, and bonding, affirming the parent's competence and inner strength.

This is a go-at-your-own-pace course, with an estimated completion time of 11 months.

The Outcomes of Study

Upon graduation, you will be uniquely qualified to support and guide a broad spectrum of parents and will be fully equipped to launch your successful practice.

You will be certified to work with a large range of clients, including those with complex and sensitive backgrounds, such as parents who have experienced:

  • Baby loss, including miscarriage and stillbirth.

  • Traumatic previous births or postnatal PTSD.

  • Termination of pregnancy.

You will gain the skills to:

  • Apply clinical hypnotherapy techniques, which are recognised as an extremely effective procedure for the reduction and elimination of PTSD symptoms.

  • Help clients overcome and let go of the influence of negative memories of previous traumatic births.

  • Provide a deeper, trauma-informed level of care that goes beyond simple relaxation.

  • Establish yourself as an expert who can confidently guide parents towards a positive birth experience, regardless of the route their baby chooses to come into the world.

The Support Whilst You Study and Beyond

Your training includes continuous, expert support from two perspectives: an experienced clinical hypnotherapist and a midwife. This hybrid support model ensures you have both the psychological and clinical knowledge to succeed.

Your unparalleled support package includes Trance tribe Membership:
