Welcome to the complete Hypno-Doula Practitioner Diploma and Trance Tribe Membership a flexible, supported training pathway for anyone who feels called to support parents throughout fertility, pregnancy, birth and the essential fourth trimester.
For £95 per month, your membership includes the complete training journey, from the Foundation in Clinical Hypnotherapy and Hypnotic Birth Preparation through to the full JOYBirth Hypno-Doula Practitioner Diploma. Your training reaches far beyond birth preparation. You will explore natural fertility, emotional and physical wellbeing throughout pregnancy, postnatal care, women’s wellbeing across different life stages, and sexual freedom hypnosis, giving you a beautifully rounded collection of tools to support women with confidence, compassion and clinical skill.
You will also receive access to our practical training days, weekly practice spaces, masterclasses, professional peer supervision, mentoring, specialist learning resources and the wonderfully supportive Trance Tribe community.
This is not simply an online course. It is a complete learning experience designed to help you develop the knowledge, practical ability and professional confidence to support parents with compassion, clinical skill and a genuinely trauma-informed approach.
This programme is ideal for:
Midwives, doulas and birth workers
Hypnotherapists and complementary practitioners
Counsellors, coaches and wellbeing professionals
Pregnancy and postnatal support practitioners
Anyone feeling called to support parents more deeply
Complete beginners who want a structured professional pathway
You do not need any previous hypnotherapy experience. Your training begins with the clinical foundations and progresses gradually into specialist fertility, pregnancy, birth and postnatal applications.
Your membership includes both the Foundation and Practitioner stages of your training.
You will begin by developing a strong understanding of clinical hypnotherapy and hypnotic birth preparation.
The Foundation stage explores:
The history and principles of hypnosis
The subconscious mind and the power of suggestion
Hypnotic inductions, deepening and therapeutic communication
Professional ethics and appropriate boundaries
The mind–body connection during pregnancy and birth
The relationship between the nervous system and birth physiology
The clinical mechanics of calm
Self-hypnosis, focused attention and relaxation
Pregnancy relaxation and emotional regulation
Creating meaningful and supportive group experiences
Upon successful completion of the Foundation requirements, you can become certified to begin facilitating your own Pregnancy Relaxation Classes within the scope of your training.
This means you can begin building confidence, gaining experience and supporting expectant parents while continuing towards your full Practitioner Diploma.
Your learning then develops into specialist, clinical-level practice across the entire reproductive and birth journey.
The Practitioner Diploma moves far beyond traditional hypnobirthing. You will learn how to support fertility, pregnancy, birth preparation, postnatal wellbeing and more complex emotional experiences using hypnotherapy-informed and trauma-informed approaches.
Your training includes:
Develop the skills to:
Teach self-hypnosis, breathing and relaxation
Reduce fear and anticipatory anxiety
Work with the Fear–Tension–Pain cycle
Support pain modulation and focused calm
Create personalised hypnotic suggestions
Strengthen confidence and emotional resilience
Support clients individually and in groups
Prepare parents and birth partners for the birthing experience
Explore supportive approaches for:
Natural fertility and conception
Releasing anxiety surrounding conception
Developing a compassionate mind–body relationship
Preparing emotionally for pregnancy
Building hope, confidence and resilience
Develop the knowledge and therapeutic sensitivity required when supporting clients affected by:
Previous traumatic births
Birth-related PTSD and anxiety
Miscarriage, stillbirth and baby loss
Termination of pregnancy
Fear surrounding medical procedures
Difficult or complex pregnancy experiences
Grief and emotional trauma
You will learn how clinical hypnotherapy may support nervous-system regulation, reduce the continuing emotional influence of traumatic memories and help clients reconnect with choice, control and personal agency.
Your training continues beyond birth to include:
Postnatal emotional regulation
Rest, sleep and restoration
Bonding and connection
Postnatal anxiety support
Identity changes following birth
Emotional recovery after challenging experiences
Supporting resilience during early parenthood
Menstrual and Hormonal Wellbeing: Supporting clients with menstrual health, cycle awareness, hormonal changes and the emotional impact of reproductive transitions.
Perimenopause, Menopause and Post-Menopause: Using clinical hypnotherapy to support anxiety, disrupted sleep, brain fog, stress sensitivity, confidence, body image, identity changes and emotional wellbeing.
Sexual Freedom Hypnosis: Helping clients release shame, inhibition, performance anxiety and subconscious barriers to intimacy, pleasure and the confident expression of their needs.
Women’s Psychosexual Wellbeing: Supporting changes in desire, sexual confidence, body connection, comfort and intimacy throughout the different stages of life.
Men’s Psychosexual Health: Introducing specialist frameworks for erectile difficulties, premature or delayed ejaculation, performance anxiety, reduced desire, sexual confidence and compulsive sexual behaviours.
Relationship and Intimacy Support: Exploring communication, emotional connection, boundaries and the influence of previous experiences and learned conditioning on intimate relationships.
Ethical and Collaborative Practice: Recognising possible medical causes, working within professional competence and referring to GPs, sexual-health services, psychosexual therapists or other appropriate specialists when required.
At NCCH, we recognise that the journey into parenthood is not simply a nine-month event. It is a continuing transformation that begins before conception and extends into the essential fourth trimester.
Explore conception support, affirmations, anchoring, mindset, nausea reduction and early-pregnancy confidence.
Support bonding, identity integration, emotional wellbeing, self-hypnosis and calm connection.
Teach fear release, hypnotic birth preparation, pain modulation, birth-partner support and empowered readiness.
Provide specialist support for recovery, sleep, anxiety, emotional regulation, bonding and adjustment to parenthood.
Your training also reaches beyond fertility, pregnancy and the fourth trimester to explore broader aspects of women’s wellbeing and sexual health. You will learn supportive hypnotherapy approaches for menstrual-cycle challenges, pre-, peri- and post-menopause, alongside Sexual Freedom Hypnotherapy for both women and men. This includes working sensitively with confidence, intimacy, emotional and psychological barriers, changes in sexual wellbeing and common concerns affecting men’s sexual health, giving you a more complete collection of tools to support clients through different life stages.
Learning hypnotherapy requires more than reading notes and watching videos. You need opportunities to practise, ask questions, receive feedback and experience the techniques for yourself.
That is why your membership includes access to our wider programme of practical and professional development.
